KAITO

KAITO is a Japanese male virtual singer and one of the original members of the Piapro Characters, alongside Hatsune Miku, MEIKO, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megurine Luka. He was developed by Crypton Future Media and officially released on February 17, 2006, using Yamaha's first-generation VOCALOID engine. His singing voice is based on Japanese professional singer Naoto Fūga. KAITO is known for his dark blue hair, iconic long blue scarf, and elegant appearance. His character design features a blue and white outfit, making blue his signature color. He made history as the world's first Japanese-language male VOCALOID voicebank, following MEIKO's debut in 2004. His voice is known for its smooth, clear, and expressive qualities, allowing him to sing across various musical genres. In 2013, KAITO received an updated version called KAITO V3, which introduced improved vocals and four different voice styles: STRAIGHT, SOFT, WHISPER, and ENGLISH. Although his initial release received limited attention, KAITO gradually became a beloved character within the Vocaloid community. His popularity grew through fan-made songs, music videos, illustrations, merchandise, and virtual concerts. Today, KAITO is recognized as one of the pioneering virtual singers and an important part of Vocaloid history. He continues to inspire creators and fans around the world.
